Embark on an impactful journey as a Special Education Teacher supporting students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in a robust school environment. This full-time contract role offers the chance to work in a Setting II/III/center base classroom, guiding learners with diverse needs. The position begins as soon as 09/18/2026 and continues through the academic year, concluding on 06/10/2027. The work week is Monday through Friday, with a total of 37.5 hours.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education Teacher license (required for consideration)
- Demonstrated experience in teaching students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
- Strong classroom management skills and experience implementing behavior intervention plans
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations in a Setting II/III/center base environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with families, support staff, and administrators
- Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and individualized support to students with EBD
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral interventions to promote positive outcomes
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Collect data and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development as required
