This is an onsite, contract opportunity close to San Bernardino, CA, with multiple positions available.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a closely related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Valid California teaching credential with Special Education authorization
- Experience supporting students with moderate/severe and/or mild/moderate disabilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Collaborative mindset—works well within multidisciplinary teams and diverse school staff
- Dedication to building a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
- Partner with general education teachers to foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere
- Provide engaging instruction and differentiated support based on individual learning profiles
- Assess, track, and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain regular communication with students, families, and staff regarding goals and growth
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure timely, accurate completion of all compliance and reporting documentation
