Special Education Teacher | San Diego, California
An immediate contract opportunity is available for a passionate and committed Special Education Teacher specializing as an RSP Teacher (Mild/Moderate). This position, located near San Diego, CA, is designed for individuals who are fully credentialed and ready to begin supporting students right away. Responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized instruction and support to a caseload of approximately 32 students in a Resource Specialist Program (M/M)
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborating with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success
- Delivering instruction and differentiation tailored to each learner’s unique requirements
- Maintaining thorough documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state and federal regulations for special education
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom climate that encourages social and academic growth
Qualifications sought:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential authorizing RSP instruction
- Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with mild/moderate populations
- Current clearances to work in a school setting (background check, TB test, credential verification)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to inspire trust, maintain confidentiality, and advocate effectively for students
