Key Qualifications:
- Current and active California Moderate/Severe Special Education Teaching Credential (Mod/Severe) is required
- Experience working with early elementary students in a special education setting preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with classroom staff and related service providers
- Ability to create and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet student needs
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and support students with moderate to severe disabilities, tailoring curriculum and strategies to promote growth
- Develop individualized lesson plans and implement accommodations to maximize student learning and participation
- Oversee and collaborate with three paraprofessionals within the classroom
- Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings, working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
