As a contract educator, you’ll work Monday through Friday, collaborating with colleagues, parents, and support staff to meet students’ unique needs. Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Arizona (or eligibility)
- Prior experience working with elementary-age children preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and specialists
- Ability to create and adapt lesson plans for diverse learners
- Dedication to fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 25 students in either a Resource or Self-Contained setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet students’ academic, social, and behavioral goals
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and interventions
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and provide resources as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
