Special Education Teacher - Semmes, Alabama

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Educator Certification in Special Education (Pre-K or Early Childhood endorsement preferred)
- Experience working in self-contained or autism-specific classroom environments
- Strong ability to modify curriculum and create individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with supporting toileting needs and implementing behavior support strategies
- Passion for early childhood development and inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to a Pre-K class with an emphasis on students with autism and intensive needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
- Support students with daily living skills, including toileting
- Communicate regularly with families, specialists, and school leadership
