Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working with alternative high school or diverse student populations
- Proficiency in designing and delivering customized instructional strategies
- Comfortable working with small groups and providing individualized support
- Expertise in case management, IEP development and conducting meetings
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction directly to students needing additional support
- Provide both small group and one-on-one teaching tailored to each learner’s needs
- Manage caseload responsibilities, including ongoing documentation, IEP writing, and progress monitoring
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support plans
