Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Oregon Special Education (SPED) teaching license required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in a K-12 setting
- Understanding of current best practices in individualized instruction, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, families, and related service providers
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to K-12 students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in line with state and federal guidelines
- Track and report student progress while adjusting strategies for optimal student success
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with the latest special education laws and district procedures
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills
