Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with students in grades Pre-K through 12.
- Strong foundation in instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Proficiency in classroom and behavior management.
- Collaborative nature with excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Background in adapting Math curriculum and other core subjects for special education settings is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to IEP goals and grade-level standards.
- Monitor and document student progress; regularly communicate updates to families and staff.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure full inclusion.
- Modify curriculum and develop engaging, accessible learning activities appropriate to students’ strengths and challenges.
- Support students’ social skills and emotional development within the classroom community.
- Maintain compliance with legal, district, and reporting requirements.
