Special Education Teacher in Southbridge, MA

We're seeking a skilled Special Education Teacher to lead a Substantially Separate classroom for Kindergarten students. This full-time contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, working closely with students who benefit from individualized support to reach their potential. This assignment runs ASAP through June 14, 2027, with a supportive administrative team and strong peer collaboration.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience in specialized or substantially separate classroom settings (preferred)
- Commitment to facilitating inclusive, student-centered learning
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Dedication to fostering a positive, encouraging learning atmosphere
In This Role, You Will:
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral support for Kindergarten students in a substantially separate setting
- Develop and modify curriculum according to each IEP
- Track progress and maintain detailed documentation
- Partner with general education staff and related service providers
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and progress
- Create a safe, nurturing learning environment that inspires confidence and academic achievement
