School Social Worker

Are you a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in students' lives? We are seeking a motivated professional to join a collaborative school team in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. This is an opportunity to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being while partnering with educators, families, and community resources to foster student success.
We welcome candidates who hold an LLMSW with a School Social Worker (SSW) Certification, though fully licensed LMSW candidates are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to promote student success.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address barriers to learning.
- Participate in IEP, 504, and student support team meetings.
- Connect students and families with community resources and outside support services.
- Assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral support strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all students.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
- LMSW preferred; candidates with an LLMSW and Michigan School Social Worker (SSW) Certification are encouraged to apply.
- Michigan School Social Worker certification (or eligibility to obtain).
- Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for supporting students and advocating for their academic and emotional success.
