Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure/certification as a Special Education Teacher.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
- Ability to adapt instructional techniques for diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues.
- Effective classroom management and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Work closely with support staff, general education teachers, and families to foster student success.
- Provide direct instruction and support across various grade levels and abilities.
- Track student progress, maintain detailed records, and prepare timely reports.
- Utilize a variety of instructional materials and technology to enhance learning.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
