Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Previous experience teaching in a special education/resource room strongly preferred
- Expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills for working with classroom teachers, specialists, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver, and monitor tailored instruction for students with special needs
- Maintain compliance and thorough documentation for each student’s IEP
- Work with general education teachers to modify curriculum and offer classroom support
- Provide academic, social, and emotional interventions in a resource room setting
- Assess, track, and communicate student progress toward individualized goals
- Partner with families to reinforce learning and support student success
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing professional development, and district initiatives
