Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- State of Michigan Special Education Certification with appropriate SPED endorsement
- Background in working with students requiring mild to moderate special education services preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and classroom accommodations
- Ability to build rapport with both students and parents
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and adapt IEPs to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student
- Employ a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Regularly assess student progress and make necessary instructional adjustments
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and support personnel
- Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Communicate clearly and effectively with families regarding student progress and plans
