Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License in EBD (Emotional/Behavioral Disorders), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders), or ABS (Academic and Behavioral Strategist)
- Experience supporting at-risk high school students in an educational setting
- Demonstrated skill in behavior support and intervention strategies
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities with fellow staff and families
- Flexibility to work onsite during established school hours (7:15 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday)
- Willingness to explore Out of Field Licensure Placement support, if needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and behavioral support to students in grades 9–12, cultivating an encouraging classroom environment
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Partner with administrators, counselors, and families to promote student progress and well-being
- Monitor and document student growth, providing timely feedback and proactive support
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives for a positive, inclusive learning environment
