Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience teaching across K–12 settings, including early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school
- Strong background in adapting curriculum for diverse learners, including those with IEPs
- Ability to teach a wide range of subjects, especially Math, to different age groups
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with team members, students, and families
- Empathy, patience, and a passion for fostering growth in students with varied abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans targeting students’ unique learning needs and IEP goals
- Deliver instruction in resource, inclusion, and/or self-contained classrooms for grades Pre-K through 12th
- Modify math lessons and other curriculum components to ensure accessibility for all learners
- Assess student progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP and parent meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and instructional aides to create supportive classroom environments
- Advocate for resources and accommodations that enhance each student’s educational experience
