- Familiarity with IEP development and compliance
- Commitment to student advocacy and supporting diverse learning abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction aligned with individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with varying needs
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each student’s unique abilities
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to create a consistent, positive educational experience
- Create a safe, supportive classroom culture that encourages student growth and independence
- Provide direct support, modifications, and accommodations to help each student thrive academically and socially
