Virtual Special Education Teacher - NM

A Special Education Teacher is sought to provide specialized instructional support to students requiring resource and inclusion services. This position offers flexibility with the option to work onsite in Carlsbad, NM or virtually, maintaining a 37.5-hour workweek under a contractual agreement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized educational programs tailored to students with diverse learning needs within resource and inclusion settings.
• Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and instructional methods.
• Utilizing telehealth platforms to conduct effective remote instruction and maintain ongoing communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Implementing behavior intervention plans and monitoring student progress using established assessment tools.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational regulations and individualized education program (IEP) requirements.
• Participating in IEP meetings, contributing to goal-setting and program development.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience in resource and inclusion instructional models.
• Proficiency with telehealth technology and virtual teaching methods.
• Strong ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
