Virtual Special Education Teacher - OK
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher with telehealth experience in Checotah, OK. This contract role requires approximately 25 hours per week, providing specialized instructional services in collaboration with students, families, and staff through virtual platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized educational instruction following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) via telehealth.
- Manage and coordinate special education caseloads, including maintaining accurate documentation and communication.
- Serve as an IEP case manager, ensuring compliance with educational standards and timely completion of evaluations and meetings.
- Collaborate effectively with students, families, general education staff, and administration to support student progress.
- Utilize digital tools and platforms to facilitate engaging and accessible learning experiences for students with special needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with special education students and knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage students and stakeholders through virtual settings.
- Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology used in remote instruction.
- Ability to manage caseload and maintain organized records in accordance with policies.
