Online Special Education Teacher in NM

A Special Education Teacher position is available for a telehealth contract serving students in Shiprock, NM. This role involves providing specialized educational support to three students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for the 2023-2024 school year, from August 3 through May 19. The contract is estimated at 17 to 18 hours per week, including indirect time, with a schedule that accommodates virtual engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized reading and math instruction tailored to each student’s IEP goals.
• For Student 1: Provide SPED Reading for 30 minutes, three times per week (separated from peers) and SPED Math 30 minutes, three times per week (with peers).
• For Student 2: Provide SPED Reading for 30 minutes, twice per week (separated from peers) and SPED Math for 30 minutes, four times per week (with peers).
• For Student 3: Provide oversight for SPED Reading and Math sessions, approximately 30 and 20 minutes respectively, four times per week (separated from peers).
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to meet individual goals.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively in a virtual environment to support student learning.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
