Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, Early Childhood SPED teacher, or School Psychologist (bilingual abilities required).
- History of delivering comprehensive evaluations, with a focus on early childhood students.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and another language, assisting diverse student populations.
- Strong organizational skills, with flexibility to work across multiple sites and adapt to district requirements.
- Must complete district contractor paperwork prior to start.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct bilingual child find evaluations at various elementary locations and district-wide as needed.
- Support early intervention efforts through collaborative assessments and team-based planning.
- Travel between North Star Elementary, Centennial Elementary, and additional sites as assigned.
- Work with a bilingual evaluation team to provide accurate, effective, and compassionate recommendations.
- Maintain essential records and documentation according to district standards and timelines.
- Serve as a resource for early childhood special education strategies and culturally responsive assessment.
