Ideal Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado DOE Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement required
- Experience with students with mild/moderate to severe emotional and behavioral disabilities
- Familiarity with CPI, de-escalation strategies, ABA principles, FBA, and BIP preferred
- Autism experience and special education math skills are highly valued
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams
Role Overview and Key Duties:
- Full-time assignment: 37.5 hours per week, at one designated school per assignment
- Age groups: Elementary or High School (depending on assignment)
- Lead and collaborate with paraprofessional teams (for affective needs role)
- Develop and implement individualized educational and behavioral plans
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Document progress and collaborate with related services staff
