Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement
- Experience with students with mild/moderate to severe affective needs, including familiarity with CPI, de-escalation techniques, ABA principles, and autism spectrum disorders
- Preferred: Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and special education math instruction
- Ability to build rapport and integrate well with diverse educational teams
Responsibilities:
- Full-time Learning Specialist at elementary level (mild/moderate needs) or Affective Needs high school position (leads paraprofessionals, supports students with significant emotional/behavioral challenges)
- Implement individualized education and behavioral plans
- Engage in collaboration with faculty, therapists, and service staff
- Complete all district-required credentialing before assignment begins
