You will be the point person for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all IEPs and special education documents, as well as a resource and mentor to other staff involved in the process. This position includes the satisfaction of guiding teams toward best practices in meeting students’ individual needs and contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state requirements apply)
- Strong foundation in IEP development, documentation, and compliance
- Previous experience teaching or leading within special education settings
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in working collaboratively with teachers, families, and school leadership
- Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and schedule IEP/ESR meetings, ensuring all required participants are involved
- Maintain up-to-date, compliant documentation for all students served
- Serve as a liaison between various stakeholders to coordinate services
- Provide guidance and support to teaching teams regarding best special education practices
- Monitor and help implement student accommodations and modifications
