What you bring:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential (mild/moderate or moderate/severe, as appropriate)
- Experience working with students in resource or moderate/severe (Autism) programs preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with educators, therapists, and families
- Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adaptability, patience, and a student-centered mindset
- Dedication to fostering academic, behavioral, and social success
- Enthusiasm for contributing to classroom and school communities
Your key responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Develop supportive learning environments that empower students academically and socially
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Work closely with general education staff to support inclusion and transitions
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, including families and support staff
- Document interventions, progress, and achievement per district and state guidelines
