Special Education Teacher - Waterbury, Vermont

Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid teaching license with Special Education certification
- Experience working with middle school students, preferably in grades 7 or 8
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance requirements

Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 10 students, facilitating individualized and group instruction
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and faculty
- Track student progress and maintain timely, accurate documentation
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively delivered
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and supported
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and support staff
