Key Qualifications:
- Valid California CTC Certification in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Special Education
- Previous experience teaching or supporting students in a Special Education setting—preferably with SDC classes
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, specialists, and families
- Dedication to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs in a TK or K-1 SDC classroom
- Develop, implement, and track IEPs in collaboration with the IEP team
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as necessary
- Create a supportive, structured, and safe classroom culture
- Engage regularly with families, providing updates and partnership opportunities
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and educational planning
