Working in uniquely staffed, self-contained classrooms (6–12 students per room) with robust classroom support, you’ll collaborate with other passionate professionals and develop innovative practices tailored to individualized education plans. Current Special Education positions available in New Windsor:
- Kindergarten/Elementary Special Education Teacher (Grades 1–3 Coverage) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–3:30 PM
- Preschool Special Education Teacher (SFP Program) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid NY Special Education Teacher Certification (Early Childhood and/or K–12 preferred)
- Experience teaching students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
- Familiarity with IEP implementation and behavior support strategies
- Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained special education classroom (6–12 students)
- Implement and monitor student IEPs and developmental goals
- Support inclusive, positive classroom environments alongside three classroom support staff
- Use individualized approaches to meet academic and behavioral needs
