Desired Background and Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher Certification
- Experience or strong interest in supporting diverse learners, including learning support, reading intervention (Wilson Reading System), and emotional support settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and adaptive educational environment
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver responsive instruction in both small group and classroom settings
- Collaborate with general educators, interventionists, families, and support staff to promote student growth
- Track and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Incorporate evidence-based approaches like Wilson Reading for academic success
- Create an encouraging and structured classroom to support emotional and behavioral needs
