Key Qualifications:
- Current Special Education Certification from the state of Michigan
- Special Education endorsement required
- Previous experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and intervention to students with a range of learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective IEPs in partnership with families and multidisciplinary school teams
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to meet diverse educational needs
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and structured classroom climate
- Engage collaboratively with staff and administration to deliver comprehensive support
This is a full-time, contract position for the 2026-2027 school year, based entirely onsite within a Detroit-area school building (exact location to be determined). You will work within a committed educational community focused on empowering every student’s academic journey.
