Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in one or more of the 13 eligibility areas
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a classroom or school-based setting
- Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Strong collaborative skills to work with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication, empathy, and organizational abilities
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
- Deliver engaging instruction and modify curriculum as necessary to support student access and growth
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions when needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal educational experiences for each student
