Qualifications:
- Valid Rhode Island SPED Certification required
- Prior experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning styles and needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction for elementary students with special learning requirements
- Develop and implement effective strategies based on IEPs to foster academic progress
- Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to ensure consistent support and goal achievement
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that values student growth and participation
- Engage in ongoing professional development as applicable
What You Can Expect:
- Contract position starting as soon as possible and extending through June 17th, 2027
- Full-time hours, 37.5–40 per week across five days, providing consistent engagement with students and colleagues
