What you’ll bring:
- Valid active certification or licensure appropriate for the assigned caseload
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (required for an emergency teaching permit)
- At least one prior assignment or significant experience working in a school setting
- Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
- Ability to design, implement, and adapt lesson plans aligned with state and district standards
- Familiarity with working in an urban educational environment
- Comfortable navigating and integrating into new districts and locations
- Commitment to maintaining all necessary PA clearances
- Reliable transportation required
- Availability Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, with no flexibility on hours
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging instruction to elementary-level students identified for special education services
- Creating differentiated lesson plans to address individual learning needs
- Assessing student progress and adapting instruction accordingly
- Collaborating closely with school staff, support personnel, and families to drive student success
- Maintaining compliance with state and district guidelines for special education
- Upholding a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
