Special Education Teacher in West Columbia, SC

You'll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in a contract position that starts as soon as possible and extends through May 2027 or with contract-end notice.
Qualifications:
- Hold valid Teacher Certification in Multicategorical/ED
- Experience working with middle school students, especially those requiring behavioral and academic support
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively manage and individualize strategies for caseloads of 5–10 students
- Knowledge of applicable special education laws and best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Special Education Case Manager for a group of students, advocating for their unique behavioral and educational needs
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
- Maintain consistent documentation and communication with parents, staff, and administrators
- Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusion and support achievement
