Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct instruction and tailored support for students with diverse needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintaining accurate student records and progress reports, ensuring timely updates to all stakeholders
- Adapting curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles and abilities
- Participating in team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development opportunities
- Fostering an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
Qualifications and experience required:
- Strong background in school-based special education, ideally with multiple disability and autism spectrum program exposure
- Active Special Education (SPED) licensure and certification in Connecticut
- Ability to provide references to support your application
- Comfort with a Zoom-based interview process
- Enthusiasm for full-time, consistent engagement (ASAP start through June 11, 2027; 35 hours per week)
- Open to all grade levels, K-12
- Professional, team-oriented approach and effective communication skills
