This is a contract opportunity for a Special Education Teacher, starting August 24th, 2026, and continuing through June 2nd, 2027. Working 40 hours per week, you’ll manage a caseload of 10-16 students, delivering tailored instruction using both push-in and pullout models with a focus on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification to teach Special Education
- Experience with both academic and behavioral interventions
- Familiarity with push-in and pullout instructional environments
- Comfort and skill in supporting students with varying academic, behavioral, and SEL needs
- Ability to collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience writing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is highly desirable
Responsibilities and Role Details:
- Deliver direct instruction and interventions to meet individualized student goals
- Implement push-in and pullout schedules to address academic and behavioral objectives
- Coordinate and collaborate with other educators, service providers, and support staff
- Track student progress, modify strategies as needed, and document outcomes
- Maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation and progress reports
- Contribute to team meetings and support a positive, inclusive school culture
