Help shape students’ educational journeys as an on-site Intervention Specialist supporting learners with special needs. Key Qualifications:
- Current certification/licensure as a Special Education Teacher (Intervention Specialist credentials preferred)
- Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs in K–12 settings
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and assessment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and learning materials to meet students’ unique needs
- Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to fostering an inclusive classroom
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction and interventions as outlined in student IEPs
- Modify the general education curriculum, assignments, or materials as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to meet each student’s goals
- Maintain clear and accurate records, document progress, and report on student performance
- Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and other school-based activities
