Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (Texas preferred)
- Experience with alternate curriculum or life skills settings
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success
- Previous elementary or high school teaching experience highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide differentiated instruction in an alternate curriculum classroom
- Develop, monitor, and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with families, support staff, and educational teams
- Cultivate an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere
- Utilize adaptive methods and materials to enhance student engagement and learning
