Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction based on individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a range of disabilities.
- Manage a classroom of approximately 12-15 students, spanning various grade levels in the elementary setting.
- Implement effective behavior redirection and reinforcement strategies to support student success and positive classroom environments.
- Serve as a case manager, collaborating with staff and families to develop and monitor progress on behavioral and academic goals.
- Collect and interpret behavioral data to inform instruction and adjustments to interventions as needed.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere in line with district policies and program objectives.
- Communicate actively with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure coordination of services and resources.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certificate, with strong classroom and behavioral management experience.
- Background or training as a Behavior Specialist strongly preferred.
- Experience with behavior inclusion programs and students requiring tailored behavioral supports.
