In this full-time contract role serving K-5th grade, you’ll have the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact from ASAP through May 21, 2027. You’ll work collaboratively as part of the STARS program, developing and modifying instructional materials tailored to each learner, and ensuring every child has the support they need to thrive.
As an integral member of a dedicated team, you may serve in various capacities—self-contained, inclusion, team teaching, or itinerant—adapting to students’ needs and the dynamic school environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Texas Special Education Teaching Certification (required)
- Experience teaching or supporting K-5th grade students with diverse learning needs
- Strong skills in developing, adapting, and implementing individualized instructional materials
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs, ensuring compliance with IEPs and school policies
- Design and adjust lesson plans, materials, and strategies to accommodate individual learning styles
- Utilize assessment data to monitor progress and inform instruction
- Collaborate actively with colleagues and families to develop and achieve student goals
- Serve in a self-contained, inclusion, team, or itinerant role as assigned
