Special Education Teacher - Woodburn, OR

This full-time special education teaching role, beginning September 9, 2026, and running through June 26, 2027, offers the chance to work exclusively onsite, engaging with K–12 students in dynamic and supportive educational environments. With four current openings available, assignments are thoughtfully matched to your experience and preferences, ensuring you thrive in your role.
Opportunities include placements in:
- A middle school life skills program (12 students, 4 instructional assistants): blended focus on behavioral and academic skill-building.
- An elementary K–2 developmental classroom (16 students, 5 instructional assistants): prioritizing foundational skills, functional routines, and communication, including work with some non-verbal learners.
- Intensive elementary behavioral health programs for grades 3–5, providing targeted support to students navigating significant behavioral and emotional challenges.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities across K–12 settings.
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and data-driven instruction.
- Familiarity with functional and life skills, as well as behavioral intervention strategies.
- Collaborative mindset, ready to work closely with instructional assistants and related service providers.
- Sensitivity, patience, and a commitment to fostering inclusive, engaging classrooms.
- Availability for full-time, onsite hours (37.5/week).
