Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification for Texas.
- Endorsement in one of the following areas: Self Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist (must align with grade levels listed).
- Demonstrated experience working in Life Skills (FASE) or Self Contained/Behavior Autism classrooms preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Differentiate instruction according to student abilities and IEPs.
- Collaborate proactively with paraprofessionals, related service staff, and families.
- Create positive, structured, and adaptive classroom environments.
- Track and communicate student progress, ensuring data-driven instructional adjustments.
- Provide direct support for life skills and behavioral interventions where required.
