Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher, working with students in a vibrant learning environment near York, PA. This contract-based opportunity focuses on onsite instruction for an Extended School Year (ESY) with potential for a continued assignment in the 26/27 school year. This position balances a supportive atmosphere with the chance to make a difference in the lives of students requiring specialized instruction.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (in accordance with state requirements)
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with K-12 students
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs based on student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff and families
- Flexibility and commitment to providing a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Your Role:
- Deliver engaging onsite instruction to students with diverse educational needs during ESY (July 8–30, Monday through Thursday, 8:15am–11:45am)
- Attend mandatory staff inservice on July 7
- Help maintain a supportive and safe classroom environment
- Develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum to meet IEP goals
- Monitor progress and make timely adjustments to instructional methods
- Work collaboratively with support staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Opportunity to transition into the full 26/27 school year (hours shift to 7:45am–3:15pm)
