Make a meaningful impact guiding young learners as a Special Education Teacher supporting itinerant pre-school students throughout the Hanover and Adams County areas. Your day will begin and end at a designated home base, but most of your work will involve traveling to partner sites and supporting pre-school-aged students in a variety of classroom environments. You’ll apply your expertise to create inclusive, effective learning experiences, working closely with children, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active Pennsylvania teaching certificate required (submit with resume)
- Previous experience in Special Education or working with pre-school learners preferred
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to work in different school and classroom settings throughout the day
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential
- Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing scenarios
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver instruction and support for pre-school students with special needs in multiple locations
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and families to ensure student progress
- Develop and implement IEPs and tailored strategies for student success
- Document progress and maintain thorough student records
- Provide consultative support and resources to partnering educators
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment in every classroom you enter
This position will follow a schedule from July 1, 2026, through September 11, 2026, working weekdays from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
