Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Michigan teaching license in Cognitive Impairment (CI) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) required
- Previous experience with special education students in an elementary setting preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and team members
- Passion for creating supportive learning environments tailored to individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Work collaboratively to evaluate and adjust instruction based on students' needs and progress
- Document student development and maintain thorough records in compliance with state and school guidelines
- Provide guidance and support to students in both academic and social-emotional growth
- Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and administrators to ensure student success
