Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education or Intervention Specialist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with middle school students is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs in grades 6-8, in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and parents to promote student success
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust interventions as needed
- Prepare and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Advocate for each student’s educational and social needs within the school community
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state special education guidelines
