The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, offering a steady schedule from 8:10 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. each day, including a 30-minute lunch break.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with early elementary students, preferably in K-1st grade
- Expertise in implementing IEPs and differentiating instruction
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to cultivate positive and supportive classroom environments
- Collaborative approach with other educators, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in the resource room
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster academic, social, and behavioral growth
- Track and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to instruction
- Communicate consistently with parents, caregivers, and related service providers
- Support students in transitioning between the resource room and general education settings
