Key Qualifications:
- Valid Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota Special Education teaching license (ASD licensure considered for travel professionals)
- Experience or strong interest in supporting high-needs and behavioral-focused elementary student populations
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Skilled in classroom management, de-escalation techniques, and differentiated instruction
- Effective communication with students, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Teach elementary students within a behavior program, fostering a supportive and structured learning environment
- Design and execute personalized instructional strategies tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including paraprofessionals, counselors, and therapists
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports and IEPs, in compliance with district and state regulations
- Engage actively in professional development and district training sessions
- Support inclusion efforts and promote positive behavioral interventions
