What You’ll Need:
- Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota Special Education Teacher licensure
- Experience working with high-needs and/or behaviorally challenged students
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Capable of fostering a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- ASD licensure is highly valued and travel candidates with this credential are encouraged to apply
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specially designed instruction for elementary students with behavioral needs
- Modify curriculum and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Conduct ongoing assessment and data collection to track student progress
- Manage classroom behavior and utilize evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with general education teachers, behavior specialists, and family members to support students
- Prepare progress reports and participate in IEP meetings as required
