Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
- Current Kansas State Teaching License with appropriate endorsement
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, Behavioral Specialist, or comparable school-based behavioral support role
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting FBAs and designing BIPs
- Background supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional challenges
- Strong skills in research-based, data-driven behavioral interventions
- Preference for individuals with BCBA certification, school psychology, social work, or school counseling licensure
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and training abilities with school teams, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Itinerant support across multiple school districts for K-12 students
- Engage in direct observation and assessment to inform targeted interventions
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior plans to promote positive student outcomes
- Provide training, consultation, and crisis intervention support for staff and parents
- Document progress, collect data, and adjust interventions as needed
- Remain current on best practices in the field and support staff professional development
